Please join us for a fun workshop sponsored by the Sangha’s Consensus Collective to learn about and discuss some of the exciting communication and consensus approaches we have been studying. The Consensus Collective is a study group of seven sangha members who have been meeting monthly since May 2002. The intriguing approaches we’ve studied include:  Quakers method, Nonviolent Communication (Rosenberg), Temperature Reading (Satir), Motivational Interviewing (Miller), and books and articles on consensus.

The purpose of the Consensus Collective is:
1) To develop, through practice and feedback from sangha meetings, a consensus process that is alive, inclusive and simple.
2) To develop a pool of facilitators who will lead sangha meetings.

We’ve introduced a few techniques and tools to the Sangha Membership Meetings such as raising a hand to be recognized to speak and the “Proposal Form” as ways to make meetings more effective and enjoyable. We’re offering this workshop so that Sangha members can:

·         Learn more about the consensus approaches

·         See if they want to join our group or if there’s a very large interest, perhaps, start another study group.

If you have questions or want to RSVP, please contact Suzanne Kryder at 771-8498 or sk@kryder.org. Please eat lunch before you arrive at 1:00, and bring a dish to share at the potluck. Everyone’s invited to the potluck—workshop attendance is not required!

Current members of the collective:
Christine Hall, Fred Herman, Hilary Heyl, Bonnie Kelly, Judith Kidd, Mary Roy, and Suzanne Kryder.
