Consensus is the decision-making process that is used at Sangha Membership Meetings. In order to effectively use consensus, it is important that we consider a single proposal and adopt or reject that proposal. Consensus does not work effectively when there are multiple alternatives on the table.
This form is for members to use when they want to introduce a proposal for the Sangha to consider. The form helps the meeting facilitator keep the decision process on track, by having a clearly stated proposal. In addition, it provides useful information for Sangha members to consider during the consensus process and also provides a written record of proposals under discussion, when the consensus process continues over multiple meetings.
If you wish to make a proposal, please complete this form and give it to a member of the Board of Directors. The Board will review the proposal at a future Board meeting and schedule it for discussion at a membership meeting. Your attendance at the membership meeting would be helpful, so that you are available to answer questions that may develop.
